Natural Stone Countertops in Roselle, New Jersey
There is no question that granite is a popular choice for counters, but granite flooring can also add a rich, luxurious feeling to a room. Granite resists scratches and cracks, but grit trapped on the bottom of shoes or on pots and pans can cause damage. If you have granite flooring, be sure to put floor mats at all entrances to catch as much dirt as possible. You will also want to sweep the floor often. Use trivets and hot pads under pans, not to protect the countertops from heat but from grit that could be on the bottom of the pan. Granite does not require as much maintenance as other types of stone, although some types do need occasionally sealant to protect the surface.
