Aruba dream granite is extremely durable but it does require special care. Clean up spills immediately as some substances, including wine, coffee or tomato sauce can stain granite. Use a sponge or soft cloth with warm water and mild soap to clean your granite. Although the surface doesn’t etch like other types of countertops, it is still recommended you use coasters under glasses. You should also use trivets and hot pads under pans, even though heat will not damage the surface. Grit under pots and pans can cause scratches which is why you should also use a cutting board to avoid knife scratches. Use door mats and runners on granite floors to avoid grit from shoes that can cause scratches.
